WELCOME TO THE WORLD
Aled Jones entered the world in 1970.
1980
BANGOR CATHEDRAL CHOIR
Aled joined Bangor Cathedral choir in 1980.
1982
PROFESSIONAL DEBUT
He made his professional debut as a twelve year old performing the role of the Angel in Handel's Oratorio ‘Jeptha’ on BBC2 and BBC Radio 3
He went on to film three programmes for the BBC from Israel with the BBC Welsh Chorus. The resulting album went to number 2 in the charts - one behind Bruce Springsteen's ‘Born In The USA’.
1984
HOLLYWOOD & LENNY
Aled performed countless concerts as a boy soprano all over the world including a spot at the Hollywood Bowl and sharing the stage with maestro Leonard Bernstein.
1985
EMMY AWARD
In June 1985, Aled was the subject of an Emmy award winning BBC Omnibus documentary entitled ‘The Treble’.
1986
PERFORMING FOR ROYALTY
Aled has performed for Her Majesty The Queen and all members of the royal family many times as boy and man - including a private performance for the Prince and Princess Of Wales at their home in Kensington Palace.

PERFORMING FOR ROCK ROYALTY
Aled was invited to sing at Bob Geldof and Paula Yates' wedding.
1990
ACTING DEBUT
Aled made his acting debut in 1990 at the Royal Theatre Northampton In Richard Llewellyn's ‘How Green Was My Valley’.

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT
Aled was asked to perform the role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’.
2000
BBC RADIO WALES
In 2000 Aled began presenting his own chat show on ‘BBC Radio Wales’. The show is still running to this day and is very popular with listeners.

SONGS OF PRAISE
In 2002 Aled made his debut on BBC's ‘Songs Of Praise’. He is now the main presenter of the programme
2003
DEBUT ALBUM
Aled's debut adult album called ‘Aled’ went to number 1 in the charts.
2003
THIS IS YOUR LIFE
Aled was also the subject of the last ever ‘This is Your Life’ on the BBC and was surprised on stage at the Royal Albert Hall during the filming of the ‘Songs of Praise - The Big Sing'.

HIGHER
In 2003 Aled topped the classical charts with the album ‘Higher’.

BBC RADIO 2 & 3
In 2006 Aled began presenting for BBC Radio 2 and 3 his shows ‘Good Morning Sunday’ and ‘The Choir’.
2004
STRICTLY COME DANCING
In 2004 Aled was a contestant on the second series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. He made it through to the semi-final of the competition and cites dancing a Samba to the Tom Jones hit 'It's Not Unusual' in Blackpool's famous Tower Ballroom as a real highlight!

In 2006 Aled began presenting for BBC Radio 2 and 3 his shows ‘Good Morning Sunday’ and ‘The Choir
2008
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG
Aled lead the cast of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ in Cardiff.
2008
CHILDREN IN NEED SINGLE
Aled's ‘Children In Need’ single with Sir Terry Wogan went to number two in the charts.
2012
DAYBREAK
In 2012 Aled hosted daytime morning show ‘Daybreak’ alongside Lorraine Kelly on ITV1.
2013
MBE
Aled was awarded an MBE in 2013.
2013
CLASSIC FM
Aled returned to ‘Classic FM’ for a regular Sunday morning slot. His show has continued to grow ever since and is currently the most listened to single show on the network.
2014
WEEKEND
Since 2014 Aled has presented his own musical chat show ‘Weekend’ on ITV1. The show broadcasts every Saturday and Sunday morning from 8.30am - 9.30am.
Aled has recently completed his second series of ‘Weekend’.
‘Weekend’ will be back at Christmas and April 2016.

WHITE CHRISTMAS
Aled starred in ‘White Christmas’ at the Dominion Theatre in London's West End.
